Breaking news - 110th Congress actually accomplishes something!
It's taken a year, but Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi can finally claim to have made an impact.

Personally, I'll sleep better tonight knowing she's focusing on things like this, rather than trying to pass actual legislation. And who knows, she may have a second career as a caterer after her days in politics are behind her.
About Me
- C. G. Starr
- The bastard love child of H.L. Mencken and Dorothy Parker, I was cynical before cynical was cool. I've lived longer than I had any reasonable expectation of doing therefore every day is a gift, although I wish they came with receipts so I could return or exchange some of them. A former registered Republican now a card-carrying Libertarian, I'm proud to have an open mind but it's not so open that my brain falls out. To quote the late Kurt Vonnegut, "I will say anything to be funny, often in the most horrible situations."
